J. David Carpenter

David is a founding member of Carpenter & Croft, PLLC. After many wonderful years in practice, David retired. He currently enjoys spending time with his grandchildren and playing golf poorly. David has lived in Waco three times – it keeps drawing him back. After graduating Baylor law school, he practiced in Brownwood, Texas for 14 years, always associated with a title company. David, his wife, Mary, and their three children spent several years living overseas working with a nonprofit, aid agency. They returned to Waco in 1998, where he resumed the practice of real estate, banking, and commercial law and began working with utilities.
